Global Legal plays an important role in protecting the Group’s reputation by helping to future-proof the organization through robust legal risk and issue advisory. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice to senior management and all global businesses and functions, the team offers a diverse range of legal skills, jurisdictional experience and practice specialisms across all countries and territories in which our businesses operate.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role Vice President Legal Counsel Wholesale Banking.
Brief description on job related:
- Support all legal matters in Wholesale Banking Business, which also includes assistance in pre-litigation and litigation, non-performing loan management unit
- Prepare and/or review legal documents (including templates) to support Wholesale Banking Business;
- Provide legal advise and assistance to support the day-to-day business conduct of Wholesale Banking Business;
- Manage Legal Risks within Wholesale Banking Business affecting the Bank and the Group;
- Prepare and update internal policies and procedures to take into account changes in relevant laws and regulations as well as Group’s policies;
- Acting as a trusted adviser by ensuring commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal support and advice is provided in a cost-effective manner
Requirements:
- Degree holder in law
- At least 5-7 years of legal experience in banking, as senior level, preferably in wholesale banking (lending and trade business, market, cash management) and general corporate matters
- Extensive knowledge of Indonesian law
- Good drafting skills (contracts, correspondences) and attentive to details
- Excellent problem-solving
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with good level of fluency in English and Indonesia (written and verbal)
- Demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and collaboration
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and within group and have good interpersonal skills.
