Legal Counsel
An in-house counsel role in a growing and dynamic foreign owned telecommunications company.
Job Description
- Provide legal support for the users in which the person is able to demonstrate consistent ability to apply strategic thinking, good judgment and, for furtherance of career development, leadership qualities. Growth will include the ability to serve as the first chair for a project.
- Demonstrates the ability to lead initiatives that can promote the quality of Legal, LRO or the Company respectively.
- On limited occasions, able to serve as a stand in for the General Counsel – especially, those with growth projection.
- Able to assist the General Counsel or Senior counsels for external engagements, including serve as a permanent representative in associations.
- Able to assist the General Counsel develop more junior talents.
- Progression includes the ability to effectively coordinate with the shareholders’ group.
Job Requirements
Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law and have up to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Exposures on commercial issues is preferred
- Preferably admitted in an Indonesian Bar Association
Skills
- Good communication skills, including good proficiency in English
- Ability to apply good judgment in providing legal support for the company.
- Good counseling, drafting and analytical skills.
- Has a drive to excel and can work autonomously while being a good team member

Senior Officer – Legal Advisory
Provide legal support for the users in which the person is able to demonstrate consistent exemplary ability to apply strategic thinking, good judgment and leadership qualities. This includes the ability to effectively serve as the first chair for a project.
Job Description
- Demonstrates the ability to champion and lead initiatives that can promote the quality of Legal, Legal Regulatory Office (LRO), or the Company respectively.
- Lead LRO’s initiatives either independently or collectively with other designated personnel
- Able to serve as a stand-in for the line manager
- Able to assist the line manager for external engagements, including service as a permanent representative in associations
- Able to steward the Legal support for the Company and an individual user group based on coordination with the direct line manager.
- Progression includes the ability to be nominated for regional or overseas projects as and when opportunities arise.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- Have 6 years + of relevant professional experience
- Preferably admitted in an Indonesian Bar Association
- Exposures on commercial issues are preferred
- Demonstrate excellent ability to speak/write in English/Bahasa
