Job Description:
- Develop data protection & privacy policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and adoption with applicable regulatory requirements, the organization’s risk appetite, and industry best practice
- Perform proactive Privacy Impact Assessment from a legal perspective to address potential issues in order to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
- Maintain data privacy programs to manage records of all data processing activities carried out within the organization
- Develop and operationalize the data privacy considerations as part of the product design and new initiatives
- Review and assess data protection and privacy procedures and ensure compliance within the organization
- Provide advice, socialization, and education to various stakeholders surrounding data protection & data privacy within the organization
- Promote a culture of data protection compliance across all employees of the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor of law and/or master degree from a reputable university
- 4 years of working experience in a top tier law firm and/or a tech startup focusing on data privacy/health tech
- Has experience with data privacy, data protection, and privacy program
- Strong analytical thinking, written, and verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent understanding of the GDPR and national data protection/privacy law & requirements
- Basic understanding of security and privacy concepts
- Ability to effectively communicate and relate to various levels of people within the organizations
- Ability to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced, changing environment
