As Yayasan Save the Children Indonesia accepts new projects and older ones close, the role of Humanitarian Coordinator will be expected to operate with full flexibility, and a spirit of team work to support others when required.
The Humanitarian Coordinator will be responsible to support Sr. Humanitarian Manager in implementing all Humanitarian activities (response, preparedness and resilience) especially in Risk Communication and Community Engagement and Behavior Change Communication activities. Under supervision of Senior Humanitarian Manager, S/He more focused on program related to preparedness and resilience. S/he will also involve in the development of the project workplan, report, response update and all programmatic activities included in the implementation plan are implemented and outcomes are assessed.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, education or a related field (such as international development, communication, or other relevant social science)
- More than 3 years working experiences in the NGO with significant experience in knowledge management and learning related activities in humanitarian and development project
- Familiar with Emergency Procedure in Save the Children
- Have experience in Save the Children education program
- Strong understanding of web-based content management technologies, communication channel, and database management systems
- Knowledge of project management cycle and experience in project design and proposal development
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian, strong English written and spoken skills.
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
