JUNIOR LEGAL MANAGER

As our Junior Legal Manager, you’ll be an instrumental cog in the Legal wheel of Gojek that directly manages the company’s legal agreements and corporate documents. Your main objective will be to draft, negotiate, and review a range of IT and commercial contracts across the Gojek Group business. The Commercial and Product teams will be your companions during this ride. You will have ample opportunity to flex your contract drafting, negotiating, and corporate law knowledge, all in efforts to fortify Gojek’s legal policies and procedures from the inside out.
What You Will Do
- Assist Function Legal Heads and Product Legal Heads
- Draft, negotiate, and review a various range of IT and commercial contracts across the Gojek Group business
- Provide day-to-day legal support for cross-functional departments, including support associated with business process improvement, product developments, operational matters, and international expansion of the products
- Work closely and coordinate with the business team in Gojek and external legal counsel appointed by Gojek Group as required
- Give continued support on the creation, standardization, and implementation of Gojek Group legal compliance, policies, terms & conditions, internal working procedures, and standard operational guidelines
What You Will Need
- A Bachelor/Master of Law, with at least 3 years of experience in private practice at a top-tier law firm, or 4 years of relevant professional experience as an in-house legal for a multinational /tech company
- Significant experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents, both in English and Indonesian
- Good legal knowledge for corporate law and analytical interpretation of business structure (both technical and operational aspects)
- Highly proficient in the English language (spoken & written)
- Responsible, motivated, and independent
- Ability to adapt, work as a team, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and social competence skills
- Strong interest in the Tech industry

Employee Relations & People Policies (ERPP)
As our Employee Relations & People Policies (ERPP) Specialist based in Jakarta, you’ll combine legal, psychological, and business acumen to manage all employee policies and relations at Gojek. Working closely with stakeholders in the larger People & Culture team, you’ll create, review, update, and revise our HR policies, ensuring they’re compliant to local and national standards and reflect the company’s priorities and values. If not already, you’ll become a subject expert in labor laws of the countries we operate in, and will conduct benchmark research to ensure our HR policies suit our needs. You’ll also collaborate with the People Business Partner (HRBP) team to implement various ER programs, such as investigation and audit processes and labor compliance trainings, and manage sensitive employee issues. Your efforts will ensure all our GoTroops have the same Gojek experience regardless of where they are stationed, and are given a safe, fun, and productive work environment to thrive in.
What You Will Do
- Conduct and utilize research regarding labor law compliance and best practices to develop recommendations for policy owners in creating or revising HR policies
- Use data and analysis to identify trends and issues and work with HRBPs/ stakeholders to formulate and operationalize solutions
- Maintain an online repository of knowledge updates best practices for easy access and retrieval
- Ensure continuous improvement by actively identifying gaps, proposing and implementing changes and innovative solutions
- Work within the stipulated SLA’s to deliver and complete assigned tasks
- Update monthly audit and compliance dashboards to measure data integrity and ensure appropriate and relevant audit control requirements are met
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of working experience in Policy Governance or related fields
- Knowledge of Employee/Industrial Relations and labor laws in Southeast Asia
- Possesses professional maturity and responsiveness in dealing with people-related tasks
- Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and relationship-building skills
- Experience in Program/Project Management
- Knowledge of basic data analytics and interpretation

Public Policy and Government Relations – Competition & Taxation
As our Public Policy and Government Relations – Competition & Taxation, you’ll be an instrumental cog in the PPGR wheel of Gojek that directly impacts the company’s engagement with the government institution that relates to competition and taxation policy. Your main objective will be to manage the day-to-day implementation of projects, including coordinating with analysts and other teams in the company. The PPGR team will be your companions during this ride. Best yet, you’ll have the opportunity to flex your engagement skills with the government officials and other key stakeholders, getting us even closer to developing solutions to policy opportunities and regulatory challenges in issue domains that impact Gojek’s business.
What You Will Do
- Provide feedback to analysts’ research work
- Maintain and open channel of communications with officials for PPGR projects
- Manage weekly reports with analysts
- Improve quality of PPGR analysis
- Strong working-level relationships with the govt

- Proven capability in public policy and government relations work

Public Policy and Government Relations for the Regional Jabodetabek
As our Public Policy and Government Relations for the Regional Jabodetabek team, you will be handed the reins in leading all engagements with and related to Pemda of Jabodetabek for Gojek. Reporting to the Senior Manager of the PPGR Regional team, you’ll get to forge and maintain relationships with all layers of the Jabodetabek government, as well as manage and act as a “mediator” for collaborations across different functional and product teams within Gojek and the government. Additionally, you’ll help oversee project establishments and executions, ensuring all processes and endeavors align with both government and company requirements. Your efforts will ensure Gojek maintains strong and genuine ties with the Jabodetabek government, driver-partners, and UMKM merchant partners alike.
What You Will Do
- Establish & maintain relationship with Pemda Jabodetabek
- Initiate, execute, and implement projects with Pemda Jabodetabek
- Provide regulatory analysis and deliver operational impact assessment
- Follow regulatory and political developments as the early warning of regulatory threats, and communicate it to the team
- Build comprehensive stakeholder mapping report of key stakeholders in Jabodetabek
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth partnership and execution, and necessary regulatory advocacy and compliance
What You Will Need
- At least 3 years of experience in the Government, Government Relations, Legal and/or Regulatory fields
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience in and eager to establish and lead projects
- Comfortable in doing policy and stakeholders research and analysis
- Good negotiation skills
- Good grasp of the policymaking process and the political landscape
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Writes and speaks fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English
