Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Law, Juris Doctor, comparable law degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of relevant advisory and regulatory experience within the intellectual property, media and technology related areas in Indonesia.
Preferred qualifications:
- Combination of In-house experience with an MNC and experience in law firm.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and contract drafting skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters from the complex matters to the routine standard matters.
- Well-organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure

Responsibilities
- Conduct legal reviews of and manage strategic projects related to Google’s product, marketing and business initiatives. Work in consultation with Google Indonesia’s Government Affairs & Public Policy representatives to provide solution-oriented practical advice to facilitate launches and innovation in Indonesia
- Review draft legislation, work with our GAPP team to advocate for improvements to the proposed that will support an open online environment and effectively inform stakeholders. Escalate to leadership about regulations that may impact Google’s business in Indonesia
- Liaise with regulators and authorities in Indonesia, manage regulatory inquiries, and autonomously handle issues relating to Google’s products and operations
- Advise senior management and cross-functional project teams in Asia Pacific and the United States with regard to potential legal risks in Indonesia and ensure compliance with applicable laws across all aspects of Google’s operations in the country
