We are looking for a ​Legal Counsel to provide legal support for ID country teams. This includes legal assistance in and/or out of court. To direct, and coordinate the efforts of, external legal counsel, where needed. To provide advice, contract drafting and review, and legal research.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Provides legal assistance and support country operations, administration and verticals on various litigation matters.
  • Attend before the court, build good relation with regulators and authorities.
  • Assists in efforts to ensure that the business remains in compliance with the applicable legislation.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities etc.), creating relations of trust.
  • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.
  • Interfacing as necessary with other business support teams within the Group, such as finance, tax, accounting, and human resources;
  • Researching legal issues and drafting memos as appropriate;
  • Providing legal and regulatory guidance on the products (design and modification), proactively identify associated risks and recommend mitigation strategies, review product user experiences to ensure legal compliance and proper disclosures.
  • Advising on and drafting, review, interpretation and vetting of any related operational and commercial contracts, corporate exercises, services agreements, regulatory, transactions, and other legal documents relating to the company’s business;

The Must-Haves:

  •  A recognized Degree in Law.
  • Have 4-5 years working experience, mix law firm & in-house.
  • Well experience in handling litigation case (criminal, civil, labour or competition law cases) is mandatory.
  • Having additional experience in contract review and willingness to do and learn corporate commercial work .
  • Ability to write and speak in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of (i) civil and criminal law, (ii) employment law, (iii) anti-trust, (iv) e-commerce, IT and payment regulations.- Versatility.
  • Outstanding communication skills both in English and Bahasa.
  • Having a Peradi advocate license is mandatory.
