About The Legal Counsel (M&A Transaction) Role
In a legal function seen as a real partner to the business, this is a great chance to gain exposure to practical challenges requiring both legal knowledge and commercial acumen. You will be reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, interpret and negotiate contracts and any other legal documents in relation to any projects, transaction and various other documents
- Provide advice on wide range of legal and regulatory issues and questions raised by internal stakeholders on a timely basis, to ensure the achievement of commercial objectives while in the same time to secure legal and compliance
- Manage and lead the business unit with regards to legal aspects on M&A transactions of the company
- Work closely with all business units and provide strategic business solutions and legal advice
- Assist in corporate and commercial matters and financing transactions
To succeed in this Legal Counsel (M&A Transaction) role, you must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of legal knowledge and expertise of the business environment.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws and a minimum of three years’ experience as a corporate lawyer at a reputable private practice firm
- Highly experienced in M&A transactions, preferably cross-border transactions
- Competence as a lawyer; ability to manage workload in a dynamic environment
- Commercially sound with the ability to challenge results, provide solutions and form justifiable assumptions for the business
- Committed as a legal business partner to internal clients
- Highly motivated, innovative, disciplined and able to work independently and collaboratively
