Job Description:
- Reviewing agreement, drafting, negotiating for various range of commercial and operation departments (i.e: Marketing, Property Management, Leasing, Partnership).
- Ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and commercially practical legal advice on licensing, regulatory, and counterparty risk.
- Analyze and interpret local laws and regulations in connection with contract requests to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with government officials (especially PTSP and Ministry of Communication), regarding research, licensing, and compliance issues.
- Conduct contract management documentation and monitoring to ensure good business practice.
- Demonstrates the ability to lead initiatives that can promote the quality of legal or Company respectively.
- Coordinating, mitigating, and taking appropriate legal action regarding fraud/ non-compliance reported by stakeholders, also providing regular reports and update regarding the fraud and/or non-compliance case to stakeholders.
- Administration matters such as filing and record control of legal documents (agreements and corporate licenses).
Job Qualification:
- Bachelor of Law. with min. 2-3 years of professional experience as in-house legal, reputable lawfirm or proptech company/startup.
- Proven and solid knowledge of relevant local laws and regulations and experience liaising with the relevant local regulatory bodies required.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills, able to prioritize effectively the tasks without compromising on quality.
- Ability to articulate key questions and drive conversations centered on the risk and legal aspects of business/function in the company.
- Self-starter that doesn’t need to be told what and how to solve a problem.
- Ability to multi-task under time-sensitive environments and meet deadlines.
- Should be a team player, communicator, and facilitator and enjoy working with others to solve complex problems.
- Exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
- Must be proactive and be able to work independently.
- Personal drive, get-up-and-go, can-do attitude, takes ownership of tasks.
