Data Privacy Team is a team established to cater the need of personal data protection in Grab. The team acts as an effective practical measure in order to ensure compliance with Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (“PDP Law”).Thus far has accomplished its objectives within data privacy and personal data protection scope. We make an impact by closely monitoring data privacy dynamics to understand what are the necessary actions that need to be conducted in order to confirm regarding the related regulations, raising awareness of the importance of data privacy, and also by liaising closely with the government as the legislator. Our team is made up of strong open minded and diverse individuals who habitually engage with variation of data privacy matters. Get to know the Role
In this role, you shall manage and represent Grab to the related stakeholder including Government and law enforcement in relation to Personal of Personal Data Protection, to work on privacy issues across Grab products. You will work with key Grabbers throughout Grab departments, including in our engineering, business and marketing teams to design privacy solutions that help Grab to meet its global privacy obligations. You will also develop a data privacy compliance system and raise awareness through
Grab data privacy events.
The Day-to-Day Activities
- Understanding and updating Privacy Regulations.
- Conduct privacy policy development.
- Conduct impact and vendor risk assessments (Privacy Impact assessments- PIAs).
- Risk management and Privacy Compliance audits.
- Data Handling Procedures.
- Training and Awareness.
- Advise product and business groups across the company regarding privacy and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal practices to support Grab’s privacy initiatives.
- Document and Record Keeping.
- Perform privacy reviews working with product development teams to support Grab’s privacy by design approach for new product features.
The Must-Haves
- Degree in law or equivalent.
- 4-6 years experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, or Legal roles.
- Experience in complaint and breach handling and remediation.
- Experience in rolling out and running a data privacy programme.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, responsive, and able to gain support and consensus with multiple stakeholders.
- Privacy certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of GDPR would be an added advantage over other candidates.
