We are looking for a qualified Senior Legal Associate to oversee the legal aspects of our business. You will safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company strictly follows law guidelines and gives legal advice to management about all relevant issues.
The successful candidate will effectively ensure legal conformity and minimize the probability of exposure.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Legal Function. Having experience in a Law Firm would be an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
- Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation
- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
- Outstanding communication skills
- BSc degree in Law
Responsibilities
- Give accurate and timely counsel to management on various legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc.)
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
- Responsible for industrial relations matters, that also cover employee disputes, internal communication, employee relations, grievance, and hiring-termination.
- Implement and monitor compliance program and provide a regular report
- Maintain communication and relationship with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.), creating relations of trust
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to fulfill information requests from regulators, and manage any compliance and regulation issues.
- Support the organisational change processes and provide proactive advice to managers and employees to mitigate the risk of industrial disputes and ensure compliance with organisational and country’s policies.
- Review and give advice to the management in terms of employment contracts, company policies, SOP, and keep up to date with the government regulations and make sure the practices are aligned with the government regulations.
- Undertake research (legislation, industrial instruments, industrial bulletins, media, and internet) to provide information on current legal and industrial issues.
